Chinese tech giant Huawei has already announced the EMUI 10 along with HarmonyOS at their Developer Conference. And it seems, before launching the Android Q-based EMUI 10 for its devices, the OEM plans to roll out Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 to the left out eligible devices.

Last month, the Chinese OEM rolled out EMUI 9.1 (Android Pie) update for its Mate 20 flagship series. The update brought Moon mode and Game Turbo 3.0 along with the latest Android security patch to Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 X & Mate 20 Pro devices.

Then in one of our recent coverages, we highlighted that Huawei has officially announced to roll out Android Pie based EMUI 9.1 updates to more of its flagship and mid-range smartphones. The list of phones included Huawei P Smart 2019/2018, Y6 2019, Mate 20 Lite & Mate 9 Pro.

Among the enlisted devices, it seems Huawei Mate 20 Lite is going to be the first device to get the Android Pie based EMUI 9.1, for it’s already receiving the update.

Recalling the Huawei Mate 20 Lite features, the device is a lite version of the OEM’s flagship Huawei Mate 20. It was launched back in August 2018 with HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor, dual rear camera setup (20MP + 2MP) and embraced Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

It’s just pure gold. I finally got rid of the poor RAM management, and the icons are now more unified. Love it!!
