Speaking of Shadow Pokemon, they are Pokemon influenced by dark and evil aura. All Shadow Pokemon usually have increased CP. To remove their evil aura, they need to be purified by the process called Purification.
All purified Pokemon have a minimum level of 25. Also, it requires a certain amount of Stardust and Candy in order to purify Shadow Pokemon.
Yesterday, Niantic balanced the Stardust cost required to purify Shadow Pokemon. Based on the new changes, Snorlax, Dratini, Rattata and Zubat now require less stardust for Purification. Both the new cost and the old cost of purification have been detailed below for your reference.
- Snorlax and Dratini require 5000 stardust instead of 10,000.
- Rattata and Zubat require 1000 stardust instead of 2000.
However, Generation 1 starters now require more Stardust for Purification.
- Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle now require 3000 Stardust instead of 2000.
