New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
A few days ago, Xiaomi decided to shut down the global MIUI beta initiative to speed up the software development and testing process. The Chinese public beta channel lives, but phones (such as Poco F1) not having Chinese variant can’t take the advantage of the beta anymore.
On the stable channel, Pocophone got the last update in the form of MIUI 10.3.5.0 back in the middle of June. The Chinese OEM shipped one month old, i.e. May security patches along with a customizable lock screen clock in this build.
However, the tradition of delivering botched OTA continues! Many Poco F1 users across different regions started to notice low speaker volume after installing the June update, so the company pulled the plug temporarily.
Interestingly, they were unable to pinpoint the actual reason behind this volume bug. The glitch was supposedly originated from the incremental OTA, thus Xiaomi delivered the update as full package after a couple of days.
The mismanagement saga does not end there! Another tip of the iceberg emerges, as the upcoming July Pocophone F1 update allegedly got leaked before being officially announced.
System
– Optimization: Lock screen pocket mode
– Optimization: Updated Android Security Patch to June 2019. Increased system security.
Lockscreen, status bar, Notification shade
– Fix: Screen didn’t always light up for notifications
The changelog looks rather banal though, as the number of new features is reduced to only one. Pocket mode in lock screen is already available on multiple Mi and Redmi phones via recent OTAs, and the stance of slowing down updates was hinted earlier.
Members from the MIUI Device Team as well as moderators of Poco F1 official community pointed out the limited rollout of the Poco F1 update 10.3.6.0 as ‘accidental‘. Users are advised to wait a bit for the general availability.
This update supposed to be released for Mi Pilot (Beta Tester) team and some other special team for now but has been released to some normal users due to server issue. So no download link available for now. Please wait for official release which is expected to be done in few days.

Nevertheless, we got our hands on the full package of Poco F1 latest update. You may face some difficulties to install the zip via System Updater, so opt for TWRP to flash it. I should repeat myself: create a backup before tinkering with your phone.

Update
Apparently the stable update is now available for a wider set of Poco F1 users. Alvin Tse, the head of Pocophone Global, hinted the same.
