Once upon a time, a well-known Chinese Android OEM named Xiaomi developed a crush on a particular SoC from Qualcomm. That highly energy efficient SoC was Snapdragon 625 – a 14 nm package with eight A53 cores and Adreno 506 graphics.
The US based chipmaker announced the Snapdragon 625 back in 2016, and Xiaomi is probably the only OEM to use it on eight (yes, you read that right) different phones till 2018.
Phones were launched with Android Marshmallow on board (example: Redmi Note 4) on the same platform, which now runs Android Pie (example: Mi A2 Lite). Aftermarket developers even ported Linux kernel 4.9 on top the default 3.18 one for long term support.
Talking about Mi A2 Lite (codename: daisy), it is the Android One cousin of Redmi 6 Pro (codename: sakura). Both devices are virtually identical, but the partition scheme (A/B vs A-only) and OS skin (Android One vs MIUI) are the differentiating factors.
Xiaomi accidentally leaked a Android Pie based MIUI build for Redmi 6 Pro in January, and properly rolled out the update in the form of MIUI 10.3.2.0 along with May security patch in mid-June.
The Chinese OEM decided to skip one month, as they are now distributing the July security patch with plenty of new software features to the Redmi 6 Pro. The semi-functional dark mode introduced with Pie update is also present in this new OTA update.
The complete changelog of this MIUI 10.3.3.0 build for Redmi 6 Pro is as follows:

Both of these phones got their last update back in February, so the gap is quite huge. Xiaomi engineers also bundled a number of fixes and new features in the new updates.
