Pokemon Go Jirachi to release globally through a special quest

Pokemon Go update 0.149.0 is currently rolling out for all the devices. The latest update for the game has brought many novelty features to the game. Amidst this, data miner Chrales is busy unravelling the game update files.

In his new data mined research, he has found that Jirachi will soon be available globally. Earlier, Jirachi was made available through special research tasks at Pokémon GO Fest, but no information regarding its worldwide release was made out.

Following a similar pattern, last year’s Celebi was first made available for the Chicago fest, and then after a month, it was released worldwide.

In order to get Jirachi at Pokémon GO Fest, players were required to complete several in-game tasks which were divided into stages. Similar sort of tasks can be seen in the information leaked by Chrales.

According to the leaked information, Jirachi special quest focus on Hoenn region Pokemon. Players will also be required to catch Whimsur and Loudred.

The loud outcry of ‘Loudred’ will help awaken the sleeping mythical Pokemon ‘Jirachi’ which is known to wake up only for seven days every thousand years. But it can also waken if sung to by a voice of purity.

Players will also be required to catch a few Pokemon of similar characteristics (Steel & Psychic). According to leaker Chrales, the event will be named as ‘A Thousand-year Slumber’.

Speaking of Pokemon Go update ‘0.149.0’, it has added an all-new ‘Appraisal System’ to the game. Also, players can now filter Pokemon based on their gender. Shadow and Purified Pokemon have also been added to the game. The addition of Shadow Pokemon is related to the Team Go Rocket invasion at Pokestops.

The Team Go Rocket event is expected to happen anytime soon in Pokemon Go, as the latest update ‘0.149.0’ files have Team Go Rocket details & traces. A revamped PvP screen has also been introduced in the latest update which now also shows the CP of Pokemon.

Also, Pokemon Go and One Piece crossover event have been announced in the wake of an earthquake that affected Kumamoto city in Japan. The event will start on July 22 at 04:00 UTC and will stay live until July 29 at 04:00 UTC. For this event, a special straw hat Pikachu will become available for a limited time.

Meanwhile, Pokemon Go July Community day is going to begin on July 21st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at your local time. The upcoming Community Day will feature a Water-type Pokemon Mudkip. Players will also receive 3-hour Lures and 3x Catch XP bonuses for the event.

As usual, Mudkip will spawn more frequently in the wild. Armored Mewtwo is also available for Raid in Pokemon Go until July 31, 2019.
