New info is being added at the bottom of the story…

Original story (from June 20) follows:

Realme’s this year’s Realme 3/3 Pro and C2 phones come baked with Android Pie based ColorOS 6 and ColorOS 6 Lite out of the box. While older Realme phones await to taste the same, the OEM is acting quickly to deliver the Android dessert to them as well.

The company has already pushed ColorOS 6 (or Android 9.0 Pie) to Realme 2 Pro units, though after instigating bootloops the subsequent update has triggered slow face unlock issues. Then recently, Realme 1 phones also received the much-awaited ColorOS 6 update.

Alongside Realme 2, Realme C1 – Realme C2’s predecessor that embraces ColorOS 5.2 since its inception – is also testing the beta build of ColorOS 6 (Android Pie). Not to miss Realme U1 (the spiritual successor to the original Realme 1), ColorOS 6 beta recruitment for which began few days back.

While Realme 2, C1 and U1 are beta testing ColorOS 6, as is usually the case, users are curious to know when the company plans to release the stable builds for these phones. Relieving users’ curiosity, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth recently shared some information regarding this.

Madhav said, the company usually takes about 20 days of beta testing to come up with the stable release.

On these grounds, as the beta rollout for Realme U1 and Realme 2 began around June 20 and for Realme C1 around June 18, the stable builds for these phones should be coming sometime in the second week on July. Well, that would be the case if the company’s development team sticks to what Madhav said and no major issues are encountered.

Rest assured, we are keeping a close watch on all related developments and will let you know as and when the ColorOS 6 stable bulids for these phones get live.
