Guess who’s here finally.
A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter showcases how desperately Realme 2 Pro users have been eyeing the arrival of Android 9.0 Pie based ColorOS 6. That’s why, one of the queries that Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth responded to in their latest #AskMadhav vblog was about this only.
Realme 2 Pro is the company’s 2018 device that shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo layered with ColorOS 5.2. Just few weeks back, the OEM released ColorOS 6 beta program for Realme 2 Pro. However, not many users got to be part of it, for it was rolled out to select Realme 2 Pro devices.
Hey, the beta version of ColorOS 6 along with Android Pie was released to limited users on first come first serve basis, but don’t worry, the stable update will soon be released to all users. Keep an eye on our official community and social media platforms for more updates.
A couple of days back, Madhav revealed that Color OS/Android Pie will be released for Realme 2 Pro units by the end of June. However, taking users by surprise, the update has now started rolling out. The information was shared by the CEO as well as Realme India Support on Twitter.
Realme 2 Pro ColorOS 6 update bearing build number RMX1801EX_11.A.20 brings along the May security patch. Among the key highlights, the camera now supports Chroma Boost mode and HAL3 (via developers option).
As for applications, the update brings the much awaited Theme Store (in all regions). However, App market, Game Center and Realme Community will be available in certain regions.

Besides the official support forum and Twitter, people are reporting the same bootloop issue in multiple Realme 2 Pro groups in Telegram and WhatsApp. Be aware before blindly flashing this update.
Moreover, Realme’s official download portal de-listed the Realme 2 Pro section at this moment. It might be possible that they are planning to halt this OTA update.
