And here we are! May 14… the OnePlus 7 series is going to be unveiled in front of the fans and followers across the world merely a few hours later!
While the excitement is skyrocketing, OnePlus continues to tease the features (most of which are known to us due to the insane amount of leaks). One such tweet sparkled another rumor about an interesting feature.
Now wait a minute! The original tweet boasted about the smoothness and capability of the OnePlus 7 lineup, but the animation reminded us something.
Will OnePlus introduce a feature similar to the Edge Lighting functionality of Samsung Galaxy S lineup? The Korean smartphone maker implemented this component as an addon towards typical notification LED.
When faced down, the edge lighting feature lights up the edge screen when you receive calls or notifications. You can color code up to five contacts that will appear in their respective colors when they get in touch, while all other calls or notifications will be shown in neutral bright light.
The lack of a dedicated notification LED in 2019’s Galaxy S10 forced Samsung to promote the Edge Lighting feature, but the buggy nature of it drew negative criticism. OnePlus also removed the notification LED from OnePlus 6T in favor of ambient display (“Lift up display” in OxygenOS).
Utilizing the curved display panel of the OnePlus 7 Pro for notifications could be an effective way to substitute the missing LED. Just few more hours, then we will know the answer.
The triple rear camera of the Pro variant has been teased for a while by Amazon India before the official unveiling. Looks like everyone is part of the leaking saga.
Amazon silently replaced the promotional image with a ‘less’ revealing one, but people like Ishan Agarwal noticed it meanwhile.
On the other hand, we have got our hands on plenty of real life pictures of a Chinese OnePlus 7 Pro unit.
The wallpaper matched with the previously leaked official pictures by Roland Quandt aka @rquandt. The Nebula Blue variant of OnePlus 7 Pro (model number: GM1913) was allegedly running HydrogenOS 9.5.GM21.
The original Weibo post is not available now, but the pictures are mirrored by multiple entities so far.
Wait, there’s more!
The promotional video for T-Mobile branded OnePlus 7 Pro has been leaked as well. Take a look at the following snippet to see what you already know.

Accessories, official poster, promo video – you just name it! Looks like OnePlus is pretty naive in keeping secrets. 😛
A sudden rise of Geekbench results of OnePlus GMxxxx phones also stiuplates that reviewers are pushing their units for benchmarking and comparisons.
