Realme 3 Pro blind order, pre-order, price & leaked specifications: what we know so far

Gone are those days when Chinese smartphones were in vogue for being low cost replicas of expensive brand devices. Over past few years, phone manufacturers from China changed their game and outmaneuvered by bring to business first of their kind devices like Oppo Find X and Vivo NEX S.

With vivo leading the pack, Chinese telecom company OPPO was the second most popular smartphone brand in China last year along with other brands like Honor, Huawei, Xiaomi, Meizu and OnePlus a total hit among Chinese smartphone consumers.

Ever since its inception, Oppo has released a huge lineup of devices like A series, Find series, F Series, N series and R series. In 2010, the company expanded by adding a sub-brand OPPO Real that later on became Realme.

The emerging smartphone brand Realme was a subsidiary of Oppo until last year. It came to existence as an independent brand when Oppo’s former VP Sky Li stepped down from OPPO’s board of directors and announced Realme as a separate brand in 2018.

In a short span of just a year, Realme has delivered devices like Realme 1, 2, 2Pro, C1, U1, 3. And now, users await the next in line and soon to be unveiled Realme 3 Pro.

Realme 3 Pro has already created a lot of buzz with device specification leaks and rumors flying in the air. And most of you may already know by now that the phone is due to be released next week (on April 22) as confirmed by Realme CEO Raghav Sheth.

Looking at user excitement, we have compiled an easy read about what all has come to light till date about the soon to be out Realme 3 Pro. So let’s take a look at what all we know so far.

Alleged specs of Realme 3 Pro

RMX1851 is believed to be Realme 3 Pro’s model number.

Chipset: Leaks and rumors so far suggest the device is going to be a mid-ranger powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. One of the device’s direct competitor Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro 7 on the other hand, comes with a Snapdragon 675. And the comparison about which one is better has already started.

Going by the comparative analysis by AnTuTu benchmark, Snapdragon 675 outperforms 710 as smartphones powered by the former chipset scored 1,74,402 points in comparison to the latter’s 1,70,000.

Seemingly, in a response to Xiaomi India MD Manu’s tweet above, here’s what Realme CEO said a day later.

Oh by the way, another key selling point and a good news for gamers is that 3 Pro, as claimed by the company CEO, is Fortnite compatible.

OS: As for the operating system, Realme Pro 3 is expected to land with the last year’s Android Pie 9.0 and Oppo’s customized skin Color OS 6.0.

Camera: Realme 3 Pro may embrace a 48MP rear camera (just like Redmi Note Pro 7) with triple camera installed at the back panel. And most likely, the device will come with Sony IMX519 camera sensor installed.

The pictures teased by Madhav Sheth in the above tweet do hint an HDR support along with a selfie camera (front) with a resolution that could be greater than 13 MP.

Not only that, here’s Madhav teasing the camera slomo recording feature.

Display, battery and charging : The device is likely to possess a 6.3-inch full-HD display and may come with a 3,960mAh battery. Rumors also claim that Realme 3 Pro will support fast charging technology VOOC 3.0 out of the box, just like OPPO Reno.

As for the on-board connectivity options, 3 Pro is expected to come boxed with 5GHz Wi-Fi (WLAN), Bluetooth and of course the currently popular fingerprint sensor.

Memory: Regarding the variants, as per rumors Realme 3 Pro is expected to offer three different variants with a RAM and internal storage combination of 4GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB.

Pricing: Coming to how much is the device going to cost, the model is likely to be priced around USD 200 (INR 13,999) like its competitor Redmi Note 7 Pro (6GB/64GB).
