[June update] Poco F1 stable March update (MIUI 10.2.3) brings February patch, some touch issue fixes

Regular users of Pocophone F1 are stuck with January build of MIUI for a while. Xiaomi forced to skip the February update due to Chinese new year and associated holidays.

The development team was not idle though. Poco F1 received a new touch panel firmware, multiple software fixes for touch recognition, 4K@60FPS recording support and even Widevine L1 certification via beta branch updates.

Quick recap: Alvin Tse, head of Pocophone Global, stated that there would two stable updates in March.

The first one should bring the February security update, improved touch firmware and Widevine L1 certification. 4K@60FPS support will be rolled out with the second one.

Xiaomi seems to prove their punctuality, as the first stable update for March is reportedly rolling out for a small number of users.

As you can see, the version number of the newest OTA is MIUI V10.2.3.0.PEJMIXM. Don’t let the minimal changelog fool you, as there are tons of fixes inside.

The latest official feedback thread about Poco F1 is also live now. We can get little more elaborate changelog from there.

Users are reporting about improved touch screen performance after update.

Although it seems the initial March stable update lacks touch lag/wrong touch optimization along with Widevine L1.

XIaomi has pushed another beta update in parallel. The version number of this one is 9.3.7.

Update 1 (13 March, 2019)

C Manmohan, Poco India GM, has decided to share an elaborate changelog of the latest stable 10.2.3.0 update for Poco F1.

He has also mentioned that Widevine L1 and 4K@60FPS support will come with the second OTA, later in March.

Update 2 (28 March, 2019)

Alvin has ensured that the second stable update in March will come with Game Turbo support. However, the release may be delayed a little (early April) to ensure stability in Game Turbo.

Update 3 (4 April, 2019)

After the early March update, Xiaomi is now rolling out the next stable update for Poco F1 in April. It brings Widevine L1, 4K@60FPS, Game Turbo etc.
