Both MovieBox and ShowBox suffered major outages back in November last year. While ShowBox was back up after a week or so, MovieBox sadly got shut down. Since then, MovieBox users have been looking for a good alternative to the app.

We at PiunikaWeb had been hearing a lot about an app called MovieBox Pro ever since MovieBox’s demise. Towards the end of December, we covered a story detailing what MovieBox Pro is, the features it offers, it’s compatibility with devices like Apple TV, and what users think about the service.

To give you a quick refresher on MovieBoxPro operating modes, you can use the app for free but you need to deal with advertisements in that case. Then there’s a VIP mode, that offers HD, FHD, and 360p quality options and is ad free.

Other features you get in this mode include special certificates on iOS. Here’s how the developer explains it:

We will give the VIP member a special certificate issued IOS app, because a few users, so there will be no frequent reinstall. Please do not share this it publicly

Then there’s Apple TV compatibility in VIP mode as well as high speed. Of course, you need to pay to enable the VIP mode, and payments are currently accepted only through PayPal.

But what if I tell you that you can access the MovieBoxPro VIP mode for free? Yes, that’s possible – all thanks to @DinoD7 and @Aladdin_Cracks for coming up with this crack, and @AppValley_vip for hosting the cracked version.

Here’s the video tutorial:

It’s worth mentioning that not all users have reported success with the steps detailed in the video tutorial. Here are some of those reports:

Responding to the last tweet above, @DinoD7 acknowledged the problem in one of their latest tweets:

So do try out the steps detailed in the video tutorial if you are planning to get MovieBoxPro VIP for free, and let us know in case you face any problems.

Meanwhile, we also stumbled upon another Tweet from the official AppValley account where-in team AppValley says the MovieBoxPro app was developed by TuTu, which means it has nothing to do with the original MovieBox.

Aside from AppValley, the MovieBoxPro app is now also available through cokernutx (which describes itself as “a Wonderful App Installer and Jailbreak Alternative for iOS devices”).

Team cokernutx says even if you are going for the VIP mode, a Google account is required.

For those who aren’t aware, MovieBoxPro uses a Google account for login. As for the reason, here’s what the official MovieBoxPro website says:

Because the free version of the app often needs to be reinstalled, we need to use the account system to ensure that users’ favs and play history can be saved. Google Accounts will be store on the mobile phone, no need to log in again, so we use the Google account system

PS: Don’t forget to read how using ShowBox (and similar apps) can land users in legal trouble.
