It seems like the day of reckoning finally arrived on tumblr.

I don't know all the details, but it seems like Tumblr has gone on a rampage and started mass deleting blogs of users posting NSFW content.
In my case all my blogs, including the gaming ones are gone.#tumblrpurge pic.twitter.com/N2kEJS4TrF

Until now, users of Tumblr for Android have been affected by the Safe Mode changes. However, now it has come to light that the censorship update has hit Android as well (Safe Mode turn off is now also not working on Tumblr for Android). Details here.
Original story follows:
So the Tumblr app has been missing from the App Store for days now. Those who have the app installed can’t search for NSFW content (as Safe Mode is permanently ON for the moment). Tumblr has acknowledged the problem, and also shared the reason behind it.
So that’s all what has happened so far. Now the question is what the company is doing currently. Of course, the answer is they trying to get this mess fixed. But how? By deleting all kind of NSFW blogs and even some SFW blogs?
Well, we aren’t saying this. It’s the users who are alleging that all this is happening. Here are some tweets that should give you a better idea on what all is going on.

So apparently it's not even just effecting NSFW blogs or people with NSFW blogs... but people with purely and only SFW blogs.

Goddammit Tumblr get your fucking shit together. This is what you get for ignoring the porn bot problem for YEARS.
So, Apple delisted the tumblr app because the porn bots have gotten too ridiculous. Tumblr's response makes sense at first, use an algorithm to delete the porn bots. Except in the process it deleted a bunch of NSFW artists in the process, including those with SFW main blogs. wow

So there you go. A lot of innocent blogs (those that are nowhere related to child pornography) are apparently collateral damage in Tumblr’s ongoing effort to clean the platform.
Thankfully, we also came across reports that some users who contacted Tumblr support over accidental deletion got their blogs back. So you can try contacting the company if your blog was also accidentally purged.
