If you switch to a OnePlus smartphone from a device by any other popular Android phone manufacturer, you’ll likely face an annoying issue: you’ll end up rejecting most of the incoming calls during your initial days with the device.
Well, that’s because, the OnePlus dialer/incoming call UI uses different call gestures – it requires you to do a swipe down to accept a call. This, as most of you’d agree, is counterintuitive considering most Android phone users are used to just the opposite: swipe down to reject.
While the Chinese company’s own forums are already drenched with this complaint or feedback, users have also taken to other popular online forums (like Reddit and XDA) to voice the concern.
If you have also been facing this issue, here’s good news: the company has agreed to change this behavior. On its official forums, a OnePlus staff member said they’ll “fix it very soon.” Following is exactly what they wrote:
Luckily, we will fix it very soon. Thanks for the feedback.
A exact time frame for the fix wasn’t offered, but we hope the change to roll out sooner than later. Needless to say, all officially supported OnePlus devices should be getting it.
