[Updated] Breaking: Users reporting OnePlus 3/3T Oreo update (OTA) has been pulled

Several OnePlus 3/3T users are confirming on Reddit as well that the Oxygen OS 5.0 (Oreo) OTA for the devices has been pulled.

Chinese manufacturer OnePlus started rolling out the Oreo update to its OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones last month. It’s not even two weeks since then, and users of these devices have been reporting a plethora of issues with the update, ranging from volume problems to mobile data glitches.

Now, it seems the company has pulled the update (at-least the OTA roll out), presumably due to the number of issues it brought along. Digging into the official OnePlus forums, we found several users reporting this development – almost all of them say they saw the Oreo update notification, but when they tried installing it after some time, there was no update available.

about three or four days ago i got the oreo update through OTA, but i didn’t download it ,cuz people have been reporting some bugs, crash etc., so i check it again this morning and the OTA oreo update in system update was gone !.. is this just my phone or oneplus just rollback the update ?

same thing happened with me……I half way into downloading……not finished downloading……but had too switch off the phone…….when rebooted……I update was gone!

one plus stopped the update??? i am not telling, bt i am asking. Till afternoon it was showing the oreo update. but now it is showing 4.5.1 in the update again. Does anyone is noticed the same thing???

Yes me too, my phone changed back the update to 4.5.1 :-/

One of the users also shared a couple of screenshots, confirming no Oreo update available for them.

Here’s what they said:

I can confirm that there is no more Oreo update notification on my Oneplus 3T (A3003) bought in France. They must have seen all the complaints/comments and decided to cancel it for the time being. For the best as far I’m concerned.

There’s no official confirmation from OnePlus regarding this at the moment. But rest assured, we’ll update the story as and when there is. So keep watching this space.
