Asus ZenFone Max M2 Android 10 update seems distant as device gets Pie-based May security patch

Asus started testing Android 10 on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 in late January 2020. To date, the two devices are yet to receive the stable version of the OS.

Sure, Asus recently claimed the latest ZenFone Max Pro M1 Android 10 update is actually the stable version, but many are still not entirely convinced. If anything, this could be the final beta update ahead of the stable rollout.

Going by the duration Asus is taking to work on the stable Android 10 update for the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and M2, it would be wise not to expect a stable ZenFone Max M2 Android 10 update anytime soon.

The device only picked up the first beta update to Android 10 late last month. If anything, we expect the testing phase to last in the regions of eight weeks, which explains the incoming Android Pie-based May security patch.
