YouTube TV strives to provide a high-quality streaming experience to its users and provides them access to on-demand content from around 70 channels.
It offers a range of popular cable and network TV shows, movies, and live sports events, as well as local and international news.
However, YouTube TV subscribers keep getting disappointed in its service owing to bugs and issues the platform experiences every now and then.
For instance, we recently highlighted an issue where YouTube TV’s poor picture/video quality or bitrate issue was troubling users.

It happened to me over the weekend and again this evening watching football. It jumped back about an hour the first time but tonight it jumped back 6 hours.

It is worth noting that the problem with YouTube TV channels or shows restarting seems to have started during the just concluded World Cup.
Affected users have taken to forums and social media platforms to express their concerns and seek an ardent solution.
Besides the shows restarting, subscribers are also encountering other issues. Some reported that they are coming across problems like buffering, blur motion, and more that are ruining their experience.
As per some subscribers, they are majorly facing these issues while streaming live TV shows, but we were unable to verify whether recorded shows are also affected.
Official acknowledgment
As already mentioned, the reports for this issue were doing rounds since the World Cup started. However, it appears the problem has recently captured the developers’ attention.
Fortunately, the YouTube TV team has acknowledged the problem and is currently investigating the matter in order to come up with a solution.
With the NFL Sunday Ticket rights bagged alongside the many other live shows, many will be looking to YouTube TV to live up to their expectations. We hope that the problem gets resolved as soon as possible.
Until then, watch this space as we will update it with further developments.
