Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi is getting set to unveil the MIUI 12 which has been a major topic of discussion in the past few days. Since the company officially announced that it has discontinued the release of beta updates for the MIUI 11 system, there have been massive speculations regarding MIUI 12.
Interestingly, we are no longer dealing with the speculations because Xiaomi is now churning out official information regarding the MIUI 12 system. Firstly, the company has confirmed that the MIUI 12 alongside the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G will arrive on April 27.
In addition to the launch date, Xiaomi has also teased some features to arrive with the MIUI 12. The company recently teased MIUI 12 Dark Mode 2.0 which is an upgrade of Dark Mode 1.0 that comes with MIUI 11.
Furthermore, we have also seen MIUI 12 dynamic AOD (Always-on Display) feature which comes with over 1000 custom animated styles. Interestingly, Germany’s TÜV Rheinland company has also cleared the new MIUI version for release.
This is the first time that the MIUI system will have to go through the rigorous testing by TÜV Rheinland.
Although, there are speculations that the MIUI 12 internal testing will commence on April 29, there is no official word on that. Nevertheless, Xiaomi MIUI 12 closed beta update (20.4.21) is reportedly available for some testers.
Now, Xiaomi has officially sent out Doraemon-themed MIUI 12 conference invitation. In addition, the company teased the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G color options which will launch on the same day.
The invitation letter as seen on Xiaomi’s CEO (Lei Jun) official Weibo handle shows a card with a doll design at the bottom. The card says
“If you have an arbitrary door, where do you want to go?”

Then, it has the hashtag (#XiaomiMi10YouthEdition)
Another Weibo post with a similar doll design comes with the words (translation is a bit rusty but this is what we can make out of it)
“Xiaomi Mi 10 youth version & MIUI 12 conference invitation…at 2:00 on April 27 in the afternoon pushing”.

Furthermore, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun released the teaser of the colours of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. His Weibo post says
“Youth is like milk tea, everyone has a favorite taste. But no matter what taste, it is very sweet to recall: fresh and light white peach oolong, sweet and sour peach grapefruit, cool and refreshing spleen blueberry mint, tea with elegant fourth-grade spring milk green, and mellow and sweet black chocolate storm. Which one do you like best?…

In all, we will have to wait for April 27 to get the official information regarding Xiaomi’s upcoming new system.
