Original story (published on August 31, 2020) follows:

Android 11 is in its advanced stages of development and if everything goes according to plan, we should see the next version of Android officially launched in September or October.

Even as that happens, many Android OEMs are already working on their skinned versions of Android 11 and in line with that, we have seen a number of Beta programs kickstarted by the likes of Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi, just to mention a few.

Xiaomi for one, has already rolled out Android R beta updates for the Mi 10 series as well as the Redmi K30 Pro. Additionally, the company is running Android 11 internal testing programs for a number of its eligible devices.

Previously, we brought to your attention a purported list of Xiaomi devices that are eligible for an update to Android 11. The list comprised of current devices and some from the previous generation in various stages of Android 11 development.

Today, the same source is coming with new information that suggests that Xiaomi is working on Android 11 for a few more devices. The updated list that’s just popped up has added a bunch of new devices to the internal beta testing program.

We can not independently verify the credibility of this source and since it is not an official Xiaomi platform, you might want to take this with a grain of salt.

We will continue to monitor Xiaomi’s rollout of Android 11 to its devices and update as and when we get more information so you might want to keep an eye on our dedicated Xiaomi Android 11 tracker for that and more.
