The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7/7S already bagged the MIUI 12 update in India back in July but it was only available for the Mi Pilot testers.

While the pilot testing for the Redmi Note 7/7S ended in early October, there was no word on the wider availability of the latest custom skin.

Now, the OEM has finally released the MIUI 12 stable update for the Redmi Note 7/7S in India after four long months.

Multiple users are reporting about the update version 12.0.1.0.QFGINXM which suggests that it is being rolled out on a wider scale.

You can download the latest custom skin from the link given below if you want to install the update manually. Also, be sure to check out these workarounds in case you come across any errors.

It must be noted that the global Redmi Note 7 bagged the latest custom skin pretty recently while the Chinese variant got the same way back in July.

Xiaomi released a timeline in which the status of the Indian Redmi Note 7S MIUI 12 update was listed as under testing.

Users of the Indian Redmi Note 7/7S can finally rejoice now that the latest custom skin is available with several new features.

Nevertheless, there are still a few devices that are yet to bag the MIUI 12 update but it seems that Xiaomi might deliver the latest custom skin to all remaining devices soon.

07:38 pm (IST): It seems that the stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 7S is now rolling out to more users in India since we’re seeing a number of reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) from those who have received the update.

10:35 am (IST): Xiaomi has now released the MIUI 12 stable Fastboot ROM for the Redmi Note 7/7S in India. It bears the software version 12.0.1.0.QFGINXM and is based on Android 10. The availability of the Fastboot ROM indicates that Xiaomi has rolled out the update for all users as per a report.
