Some Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series users report heating issues during regular usage, calls, charging, & gaming

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series’ amazing spec sheet isn’t the only thing that has been stealing the limelight ever since the devices were released.

The lineup (particularly the Pro variants) has also been plagued by a number of issues due to which there has been a number of complaints doing rounds on social platforms and forums.

These include screen flickering, system lag, proximity sensor issues, Wi-Fi bug, touch screen unresponsiveness, and missing MIUI features.

As if all of those weren’t enough, there are now several Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max users complaining about overheating issues.

While playing games like, PUBG mobile, CoD mobile and genshin impact, my phone gets extremely hot within 10-15 minutes. It’s like 44/45°C! Or it’s normal? Is it UI or Hardware issue? I’m still in the replacement period, so should I replace the device?

Hello, I own a Redmi note 10. I’ve had this phone for 2 weeks but since the last few days this phone has been annoying me. The phone becomes extremely hot doing normal tasks such as chatting on discord or scrolling through instagram or even watching a YouTube video.

While complaints like these have been popping up every now and then since the devices were first sold, they have seen a spike lately, and recent updates seem to be the culprit.

Users say that their Redmi Note 10 series device suffers from heating issues when gaming, charging, on calls, or even during regular usage – like when scrolling through apps like Reddit and Instagram.

However, it is worth mentioning here that while the complaints sure are numerous, they only represent a negligible fraction of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series userbase. Putting these complaints aside, the reviews have still been mostly positive.

However, there is no doubt that MIUI still has plenty of scope for improvement. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro has received the MIUI 12.5 update but complaints of heating issues have persisted.

Sadly, there hasn’t been any official acknowledgment from Xiaomi to date about the overheating issues. Although, the OEM is indeed working on a clever way to keep the warming up at bay – performance modes.
