When the name Xiaomi Mi MIX pops-up, probably the first thing that comes to our minds is the glass design and one of the early iterations of the near-bezeless phones, that Xiaomi managed to come up with.

The first Mi MIX phone from Xiaomi was launched in 2017 and a year later, the next-gen Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 was launched. The phone tried to perfect the bezel-less design and came with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

And as per any ideal update plan, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has grabbed two major OS updates and currently sits with the Android 9 Pie with MIUI 11 on top.

As the Android 10 update is out of the cards, officially, users of holding onto their Mi MIX 2 will be getting one more MIUI update in the form of MIUI 12. The device has been added to the official MIUI 12 roadmap.

Fortunately, Android 10 is not a gone case for the users of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. Because thanks to the third-party developers, one of the popular custom ROMs based on Android 10, has extended its support officially for the device.

We are talking about the Pixel Experience ROM. Yes, you can install the Pixel Experience stable ROM on your Mi MIX 2 and enjoy all the Android 10 features on your device.

And if you are intrigued to install and experience the Android 10 features, then you should note that you are required to have an unlocked bootloader in order to flash the custom ROM.

Here are the download links for the custom ROM:

We would advise those who are going ahead with the installation of the Pixel Experience ROM on your Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, to make a complete backup of your phone’s data to avoid data loss during installation failure.
