[Updated] Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro MIUI 12 global beta stable update rolling out

MIUI 12 from Xiaomi, first came out in China back in April and it was launched globally earlier this month. With so many new features and tweaks it has to offer, it became a hot topic among the Xiaomi users, and they were curious to know when their devices will be served with the update?

And as per the official announcement on the Mi community forum, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 12 global beta stable update for the Mi 9, Mi 9T, and Mi 9T Pro units.

Well, this comes as no surprise because, the first global MIUI 12 beta update was scheduled to roll out this week and it seems like the company had no plans it delaying the beta updates, and thus, the updates are being rolled out.

The MIUI 12 global beta updates for the Mi 9, Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro is live for the testers (select users). Talking about the updates, the OTA is arriving as version V12.0.0.8.QFAMIXM for Mi 9, V12.0.0.11 QFJMIXM for Mi 9T, and V12.0.0.8 QFKMIXM for Mi 9T Pro.

MIUI 12 will bring tons of new features and enhancements for the devices receiving the global beta update. For instance, it brings new animations, sensory visual design, super wallpapers (3D models of Earth and Mars), AOD, dynamic weather, new gesture, enhanced privacy. The beta updates weigh 1.1 GB for the Mi 9, and 1 GB for the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro smartphone. Take a look at the screenshots shared by the beta testers that have already received the update on their respective Mi phones.

Now as per the official information available to us, the wider rollout of the MIUI 12 custom UI by Xiaomi for the Mi 9, Mi 9T (aka Redmi K20 in India), Mi 9T Pro (aka Redmi K20 Pro in India), Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro will be carried throughout June 2020 as part of phase 1 of the exercise.

Those who have successfully registered with the MIUI 12 beta program will be getting the MIUI 12 global beta updates on their Mi 9, Mi 9T, and Mi 9T Pro units. If you haven’t got the notification yet, then head over to Settings to check for it manually.
