The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has been in line to receive the MIUI 12 update ever since Xiaomi first announced the new skin back in China. Just a few days ago, we reported that the standard Mi 8 picked up the MIUI 12 stable update in China. Thus, it was only a matter of a few days before the company began pushing the update to the Mi 8 Lite.

As it turns out, users didn’t have to wait too long. This is because the Mi 8 Lite is now receiving the MIUI 12 stable update in China. The much-awaited skin brings a ton of new features and improvements over the previous MIUI 11 skin.

Mi 8 Lite users in China should be receiving the new software via an OTA update. It comes as version V12.0.1.0.QDTCNXM which has been bumped up from the previous MIUI 11-based V11.0.2.0.QDTCNXM.

The Mi 8 Lite was part of the first batch of devices to get the MIUI 12 update back in China. Therefore, after the successful beta testing period, Mi 8 Lite users in China can finally get to experience the latest MIUI 12 update in its stable form.

The changelog for the update also reflects the massive number of changes and additions that come along with this new version. We’ve listed the entire changelog for you to read below:
