Xiaomi’s Engineer Face to Face is back with Volume 4 and this time the focus is on the Mi 10T camera features and improvements for other devices.

The discussion addresses several user concerns about the addition of EIS to the front camera, Copyright watermarks, and much more.

Users asked about adding watermarks with copyright to which Xiaomi Engineers have responded that the custom watermarks feature is available.

Watermarks can even be edited on already processed images from the MIUI Gallery app and there is the text signature option which also supports handwriting.

However, it is unclear what all Xiaomi devices are eligible for this feature as the engineers or the OEM has not shed any light on the matter for the time being.

Watermarks can now be customized – you could enter your name and date on the custom watermark. You can also edit it later in the photo album with the text signature option, which supports handwriting.

Apart from that, users also asked the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) support to be added to the front cameras on current Xiaomi devices.

The engineers stated that currently the feature is available only on the Mi 10 Ultra and the same is being worked upon for other Xiaomi devices.

While it is good to see that the OEM is striving to improve the overall user experience, the EIS front camera support consideration also comes as good news.

Confirmed with our engineers, “we are looking into implementing EIS on front cameras on more devices.” So stay tuned on this.

The camera on the Mi 10T series offers many long exposure effects like Moving crowd, Light painting, Star trails, and much more.

Also, there are several Mi 10T camera filters including Black ice, Gold vibes, Cyberpunk, and Color focus that other Xiaomi devices might get in the future.

Nevertheless, this is still based on our speculation as the OEM has not mentioned that the aforementioned Mi 10T series camera features may or may not be made available for other Xiaomi devices.
