[Updated] Xiaomi Android 11 (MIUI 12) stable update set to arrive in September, list of internal testing & eligible devices surfaces

By now, we know that Android 11 is right around the corner. While Google winds up the development of the stable build of Android 11 for its Pixel line of phones which should be the first to bag this update, other OEMs are also working on their skinned versions of the same.

We have seen OnePlus working on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 Beta and today, Xiaomi is also coming in to issue a list of eligible devices.

Unsurprisingly, the list is mainly comprised of Xiaomi devices launched within the past couple of years. They range from the company’s Mi-line devices, mid-range Redmi devices, and Mi Note devices among other devices from the company. The first stable MIUI 12 ROMs based on Android 11 are due to be released in September.

Xiaomi also sadly confirms that this is the end of the line for devices with the Snapdragon 845 like the Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Mi Mix 2s and as such, won’t be getting updated to Android 11.

Below is a list of Xiaomi devices on which Android 11 is currently being tested and their current state:

• Mi 10 | Open Beta – MIUI 12 based on Android 11 Beta 2.
• Mi 10 Pro | Open Beta – MIUI 12 based on Android 11 Beta 2.
• Mi 10 Youth Edition (Lite Zoom) | Internal tests
• Redmi K30 Pro / Poco F2 Pro – Open Beta – MIUI 12 based on Android 11 Beta 2.
• Redmi K30 / Poco X2 – Confirmed by Poco India
• Redmi K30 5G / Redmi K30 – Internal tests
• Redmi K30i 5G – Internal tests
• Mi CC 9 Pro / Mi Note 10 / Mi Note 10 Pro – Internal tests
• Mi Note 10 Lite – Internal tests
• Redmi K20 / Mi 9T – Internal Test

This is a pretty extensive list of devices from Xiaomi that are set to receive Android 11 soon after the official launch. That said, the company has also announced a list of devices that will eventually get updated to Android 11.

The company also says that while this list is extensive, it is not comprehensive and as such, we have to wait and see if any other devices are added or struck from this list.

An updated list has now surfaced that conveys that Android 11 internal testing has begun on Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi 9A, and Poco C3 (rebranded Redmi 9C that is yet to release). While Poco M2/Redmi 9 Prime has been added to the list of the confirmed devices, Redmi 10X 4G/Redmi Note 9 has been taken off of the list.
