Wise money transfer not working or delayed issue acknowledged, but still no ETA for fix

Wise is an online money transfer platform that helps users send money abroad or get paid in other currencies at a real exchange rate.

Not only does it offer cheaper and easier ways to send money, but it also lets users convert and hold multiple currencies.

However, many Wise users (1,2,3,4,5,6) have been reporting an issue where they are unable to transfer money or the process of transferring money is getting delayed.

All deposits for the last 2 are still withheld by @wise, they falsely claim the problem is solved. They clearly cannot be trusted after this (still unresolved) incident.

Same here I create 3 PayNow SGD transfers yesterday 2pm sg time and till now Wise still showing Sending. 28hrs already.

According to reports, users have been waiting for the transactions to go through for a considerable number of hours.

It seems that both the app and web version of Wise are not working and giving a ‘We’re sorry but due to a technical issue you’re temporarily not able to send money. Please try again in a few hours’ error message.

The issue has seemingly left many users concerned about the status of their money as it’s been stuck in the transfer process for quite a long time.

Official acknowledgment

The developers did acknowledge the issue where the Wise money transfer is not working and also confirmed that they have fixed it.

However, some users still haven’t received their money and continue to face this issue.

I’m yet to receive my money. I sent it since on Friday.

We’ve not come across a workaround that can help fix the issue so those affected will have to wait for the team to come up with a more reliable fix.
