TikTok is among the most popular video-sharing platform owned by ByteDance. While the said service has seen its fair share of ups and downs, many people continue to use it across the globe.
A huge user base like that of TikTok’s requires some maintenance, however, bugs and issues are still inevitable.
These bugs and issues can be widespread or user specific, maybe caused by an outage or maintenance downtime, but the fact remains, they spoil the user experience.
Many issues like TikTok not loading or opening, network error, freezing or crashing, and video not working can be fixed by generic troubleshooting.
This involves clearing the TikTok app cache and data, restarting the device, and reinstalling the app.
However, there are times when such simple workarounds don’t resolve the issues. In such cases, users might want to check and provide the required permissions like background data usage and more to TikTok.
It is natural for TikTok users to run into the aforementioned issues as they are usually caused by over accumulation of cache, faulty update, or device specific problems.
Updating the TikTok app also helps to resolves many issues as app updates usually bring along bug fixes.
Some of the less common workarounds involve tweaking a third-party application which, in most cases, is Android System WebView.
If none of the aforementioned workarounds fix TikTok, it is advisable to update Android System WebView or uninstall its updates.
All in all, users might keep running into issues with TikTok and while there will always be many generic solutions, there can also be some uncommon ones at times.
That said, we will keep an eye out for problems that might prevent TikTok from working properly or altogether and update this story as and when we get new information.
