WhatsApp has a couple of billion users across the globe making it one of the most used instant messaging and VoIP services.
People use WhatsApp on numerous platforms including Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, and more.
The cross-platform IM app has also been optimized to support dark mode ever since it became the new norm for iOS and Android users.
However, it seems iOS users have been facing a small visual bug with WhatsApp while sharing media from the gallery.
As per several reports, WhatsApp for iOS shows the keyboard in light mode when media is being shared even with dark mode enabled.
Hello. i have a problem with my iphone. Since today, my keyboard on my whatsapp suddenly turns into white, meanwhile i’m using dark theme. i have tried many different things such as restarting my phone, turned it into light mode and into dark mode again, but it didn’t help. what should i do? but it just happens to my whatsapp keyboard

When we select dark theme in settings.
When we want to share something from facebook to whatsapp when the forward page appears it will be in white i think that is a glitch there because everything should be dark mode but when sharing a thing or forwarding it comes to normal white theme for that instance

While this might appear as a small visual glitch, it sure grabbed the attention of avid users and is in fact proving to be a little annoying.
A rather old thread on Reddit outlines that a similar issue was present on WhatsApp for iOS when dark mode was initially introduced to the mobile OS.
Also, it appears that this light mode bug only affects the keyboard which further suggests that the issue could be with WhatsApp itself and not with iOS.
However, this is still based on our speculation as there have been no official comments on the matter so far.
Thus it is unclear whether WhatsApp or Apple are working on fixing the said visual glitch or not.
It has been quite some time since dark mode arrived on iOS. So, visual bugs like these are certainly not normal.
Hopefully, the said issue gets resolved soon so that a uniform visual experience can be maintained.
That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new info to share so stay tuned.
