[Updated] Vivo Z1 Pro Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update not coming anytime soon: Not planned yet as current version is stable enough

Traditionally, Vivo has been one of the slowest OEMs to upgrade its devices with the latest update, be it security updates or firmware updates.

The company’s latest iteration of its custom UI, Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10 is yet to arrive on the majority of the Vivo phones. The Funtouch OS 10 packs some cool new features, which has definitely got the users excited.

For instance, the earthquake warning feature, weather display for two different places, new live wallpapers, animated lock screen, redesigned minimal UI, and improved system performance.

Among several Vivo devices that are awaiting the Funtouch OS 10 (Android 10) update, there is some bad news for the Vivo Z1Pro Android 10 hopefuls.

As per a recent tweet by one of the user, when asked about the Vivo Z1Pro Android 10 status, the customer support, stated that the Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update is not coming to the phone in the near future, and Vivo has not planned to update the Z1Pro with the latest OS as the current version is much stable.

Here is the official statement:

The vivo Z1Pro handset is much stable with current android version for now, hence we have not planned to update it yet. However, to ensure your nest experience we’ll keep updating FuntouchOS versions as always.

This might come as a bummer for several users, as taking a look at the Vivo Z1Pro, it was launched back in July 2019, and it came with Android 9 Pie (Funtouch OS 9) out of the box.

The Android 10 update would have been the first major Android OS update for the phone, but as per the comment by the chat support, Vivo Z1Pro Android 10 hopefuls might have to wait for an extended period of time to enjoy the Android 10 update on their devices.

However, one thing to note is that the information from chat support is not always 100% and we would advise our readers to take this piece of information with a grain of salt until something concrete comes up from the company itself.
