Launched back in July 2019, the Vivo Z1Pro, commonly referred to as the Vivo Z1 Pro, brought with it a pretty decent Android experience.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 712, a massive 5,000mAh battery and equally generous RAM and storage options meant that the Android 9 that it came with out-of-the-box would run pretty smoothly.
Since then, we have seen the device get updated to Android 10-based Funtouch OS 10, and based on Vivo’s update policy, it was listed among devices eligible for the update to Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.
True to the company’s word, we’ve seen some development around this device’s Android 11 update and a greyscale rollout has been reported.
Reports coming in from users that have updated their devices to Android 11 are facing a bunch of issues with their devices following this update.
I have Vivo Z1 Pro..And since Android 11 came, my gaming performance has been very bad .. When the battery is less than 10%, it looks laggy type and hangs a lot.I restarted many times, but didn’t get any results..

According to these Vivo Z1 Pro users, the Android 11 update results in laggy behavior issues on their devices which means gaming performance is severely compromised.
Additionally, the device’s battery performance is reportedly poor after this update and the device overheats a lot even days after the update.
Another section of users (1,2,3,4,5) are reportedly facing random crashes and reboots with their devices following this update
Even as these reports continue trickling in, it remains unclear what Vivo plans to do with this as we still don’t have an official acknowledgment.
To recall, we recently saw a similar issue with OnePlus 7 devices and a suggested workaround involved factory resetting the device to get rid of conflicting caches. Could this workaround be used by these affected users?
We shall continue to keep an eye on these Vivo Z1 Pro issues and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned.
