Vivo began testing Android 11 on a few of its flagships not much later after Google rolled out the beta update for the Pixels.

The iQOO 3 and Vivo Nex 3S were the first smartphones from the company to get the beta update and since then Vivo has released the update to a few other models too.

Most recently, the company began seeding the FuntouchOS 11 update based on Android 11 for the Vivo V19 to a limited number of users in India as part of the greyscale testing phase.

And it appears that the company has now also released the Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 update for the Vivo X50 in the country too.

Responding to a user’s query regarding the availability of Android 11 for the Vivo X50, the Funtouch OS team on Twitter claimed that the update is under greyscale testing and is available to a few users.

We’ve shared a screenshot of the exchange on Twitter:

The information shared here isn’t all that surprising since Vivo had indeed confirmed that the Vivo X50 will get the Android 11 beta update with Funtouch OS 11 by the end of January. More on that here.

However, up until now, we did not come across any confirmation of the rollout via official channels. Unfortunately, we have still not got our hands on a screenshot of the update details.

FYI, Vivo released the beta update for the Vivo X50 Pro back in December, however, the stable update isn’t available yet.

Therefore, it may take a few weeks or possibly a couple of months before the stable Android 11 update goes live for the Vivo X50.

As usual, we will post an update once there are any new developments regarding the matter.

In the meantime, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the availability of Funtouch OS 11. You can also check out all details regarding Vivo’s Origin OS by heading here.
