While OEMs like Samsung, Nokia, Realme, and Oppo maintain transparency regarding the OS update schedule for the eligible devices, users of manufacturers like Asus, LG, and Motorola don’t have many options apart from questioning the OEM support about the arrival on their units.

The Chinese phone manufacturer Vivo shared the roadmap for the Android 10-based Funtouch OS 10 release back in March. However, some device names like the 2019 duo Vivo V17 and V17 Pro were not included in the official schedule. This of course got the device holders curious.

But incoming is goodness at least for the Vivo V17 device users. Rejoice, as the OEM has pushed the Android 10/Funtouch OS 10 update for the device. The information comes straight from the horse’s mouth. While reverting back to some of the queries, Funtouch OS India, as well as Vivo India support (on Twitter), confirmed the good news.

The device holders have already started to receive the update as version 6.10.4 (as can be seen in the user shared image below).

As is usually the case with updates, Android 10 will also hit all the Vivo V17 devices gradually. While the wait is over for the V17 users, owners of it’s Pro kin Vivo V17 Pro will have to wait for some more time as the update is under development for their device. Rest assured, we’ll let you know as and when it goes live.

Talking of the latest, Android 11/R has been under development and Google plans to push the beta on June 03. You can check if your Vivo unit is eligible for the Funtouch OS 11 upgrade by heading here.
