Android 11 was first unveiled back in September 2020 and since then, we have seen all major OEMs striving to roll out their custom skins to their eligible devices.

We have been closely following this rollout from all major OEMs and we have a dedicated tracker that is regularly updated to reflect the same.

Not to be left behind, Vivo has been equally striving to deliver its own fork of Android 11 dubbed Funtouch OS 11 to its eligible devices.

Again, we’re closely following Vivo’s steady steps towards the rollout of Funtouch OS 11 to its eligible devices and you can check out more on that here.

Today, it is coming to light that Vivo is indeed working hard to deliver the same to devices that haven’t been updated yet.

This, as the company is reportedly testing out the stable release for users of the Vivo S1. In response to one of the user queries on the state of Android 11 update for Vivo S1, Vivo India through a Tweet says:

Hello, we know that you are curious for it. We have released the Android 11 for the handset in testing purposes and soon you will get it via notification.

While this might not exactly be big news for users of the Vivo S1, it is an indication of great things in the offing as this means the wider rollout is right around the corner.

As these users continue to wait for their stable Funtouch OS 11 update to roll out, users of yet another Vivo device, the Vivo V15 Pro are sailing in the same boat with regards to Android 11.

This, as reports coming in indicate that the devices’ Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 update is currently undergoing greyscale testing.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to us. We are glad to inform you that we have released Android 11 (for Vivo V15 Pro) for the greyscale testing purposes and you will be notified accordingly.

With that, users of the Vivo V15 Pro might also want to stay on the lookout for an upcoming update to their devices as the company should be rolling out these builds to the masses in due course.

We shall continue to keep an eye out for these updates and update as and when we get new info so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
