Venmo not working? Service hit by a massive outage

PayPal owned service Venmo – which lets you make, split, and share payments – is currently down. Reports are pouring in that the service is throwing “unexpected error” or “internal server error” while using the application or logging into it.

So apparently, users are facing more than one problems with the app. We checked the service’s official Twitter account, but there has been no official word on the matter so far.

There’s also no update regarding this issue on the official Venmo site – none of the help articles there currently say anything about this problem.
