Valorant, a dedicated Windows game developed by Riot Games, was launched last year after months of closed beta testing.
The game picked up hype but was mostly accompanied by issues, making it awful gameplay for the players.
Although accurate player count hasn’t been revealed by game developers, it can be assumed that the game is still played by a big community of gamers.
But what makes it more irksome to play the game is the error code 39 that keeps flashing every now and then while playing.
This error restricts Valorant from loading and then prevents the main menu to open. Others are being prevented from entering the lobby and joining the game.
The Valorant error 39 has to do with the server connectivity. The error code is coupled with the error message revealing that the client has been faced with an error while connecting to the platform.
This, however, isn’t good enough to establish the exact culprit behind this. The wisest assumption we can make is that the error pops up when there’s an issue back at the servers.
Error 39 appears when servers are offline in some locations. This has the potential to affect players on servers located at multiple locations.
And in case the servers are working fine, the error code possibly due to an outage. It happens when a new patch is about to get aired, and other times it could be because the servers are down for maintenance.
The issue dates back to last year and players keep encountering it while playing the game. This implies the game developers aren’t paying heed to the developments.
While there’s absolute silence at Riot games end, users will have to fight their own wars here to get a workaround.
How to fix Valorant error code 39
Other than waiting out to get the servers back online again and doing the basic troubleshooting like restarting and updating the game, players can try these steps to get the game working.
1) Search ‘Service’ app on the PC and run it as administrator
2) Find the ‘VirtualDisk’ and set it to automatic
3) Apply the changes and restart the device
The game should now work fine, at least as claimed by one of the players who found out the fix. Watch the video here.
