Upday team (behind Bixby News) pulls objectionable ads from Galaxy S9 after user complaints

A couple of days back, we stumbled upon this thread on Reddit wherein a Galaxy s9 user was complaining about Bixby News flashing adult advertisement on their unit, right out of the box.

Considering that this may offend many users, we decided to highlight the issue. But before that, we thought of asking the team behind Bixby News whether they were aware of the application behaving this way or not. So we reached out to them, and they seemed unaware.

But, what’s good is that Upday team quickly took action. In their reply, they said they have pulled the objectionable content. Take a look at what we got to hear from them:

We have a team of dedicated customer feedback managers who want to ensure that upday stays a quality environment and we always take such feedback regarding the advertising very seriously and we block any inappropriate ads and their related advertisers straight away. So did we in this case.
