Ubisoft employee urges gaming industry "to end" PewDiePie, cut ties with him

PewDiePie’s anti-Semitic channel shout out controversy is refusing to die. It all started when popular tech publication The Verge published a story highlighting how the Swedish YouTuber gave a shout out to another YouTube channel that uploads videos with anti-Semitic stuff.

PewDiePie was quick to acknowledge that this might have happened due to their lack of knowledge about that channel – they even removed the shout out reference from their video.

But the fire that got ignited due to this controversy is refusing to die.

A couple of days back, we told you how a BuzzFeed News reporter tried to drag PewDiePie into a new controversy, but failed. Then yesterday, we highlighted that another journalist said some distasteful things about the YouTuber.

And now, it has come to light that a Ubisoft employee has urged gaming industry “to end” PewDiePie, and cut ties with him. Dianna, who works with the Ubisoft Massive team on The Division made these comments in a tweet:

Here is her follow up tweet in which she says PewDiePie can’t be termed as a comedian or satiric.

She also went on to say that people should not support racist and Nazi supporting personalities.

Like pretty much every PewDiePie critic out there, Dianna also pointed out the affect PewDiePie and his shout outs have on the 75+ million follower-ship he has on YouTube alone.

PewDiePie is yet to comment on this development.
