Samsung recently shared the One UI 3.0 timeline which indicated that the Galaxy S10 series devices (excluding the Galaxy S10e) are expected to get the latest OS update in January 2021.
The OEM is known for providing timeline/roadmap for major updates through its Members app and the same has been the case with the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update.
While the shared timeline/roadmap varies for different regions, another recently shared timeline for Indian users also puts the One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy S10 series in January 2021.
Now, a new timeline has been shared by the OEM which suggests that the Galaxy S10 series devices, alongside the Galaxy Note 10 series, are expected to get the said OS update in February 2021.
However, the latest timeline is meant for the Galaxy S10 series devices in the U.S., including the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 Lite.
From the shared screenshot, it appears that the user might be using a Boost Mobile network carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series device.
This might be the reason behind a month long delay as updates are usually delayed for carrier-locked units in the U.S.
Nevertheless, this is still based on our speculation as the OEM has not mentioned whether the latest timeline is specifically meant for carrier locked units or for unlocked devices as well.
It must be noted that unlocked Galaxy S10 series devices in the U.S. recently started getting the One UI 3.0 public beta update.
This means that the OEM might start rolling out the stable version earlier than expected but this is also not confirmed yet.
That said, we will keep tracking the development of One UI 3.0 and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
In the meantime, you can check out our Samsung Android 11 (One UI 3.0) update tracker to get the latest updates on the topic.
Moreover, we have curated a consolidated Android 11 update tracker for all major OEMs and carriers so be sure to check it out as well.
