Twitter keeps getting new features every now and then that often take the users by surprise.

The platform recently introduced a new feature that allows users to see the total number of times a tweet has been bookmarked.

Twitter facing backlash for the new bookmark update

While this update has been welcomed by some, it has also faced significant backlash (1,2,3) from other users who feel that the company’s priorities are misplaced.

Instead of giving us bookmark numbers Twitter should allow us to see all replies and qrts private or not. Like instagram or Facebook.

More important than even that….give us a way to export and archive our bookmarks.

Affected users have taken to Twitter to voice their frustrations with the update, arguing that there are more pressing issues that need to be addressed.

For instance, some users have complained about the timeline auto-refresh feature, which has been causing frustration for a while now, but Twitter has not yet addressed it.

Other users have also expressed their disappointment with the new bookmark update and are calling for features like an edit button or a dislike button.

While some users have expressed their dissatisfaction with the new feature, there are also those who like it.

This’ll go great I’m sure.

Despite the mixed response, it’s clear that Twitter users have different priorities when it comes to new updates like the Twitter bookmark update.

It’s worth noting that Twitter has been working on a variety of new features in recent months, including a new Tip Jar feature that allows users to send and receive money on the platform.

However, it’s clear that not all of these features will be universally welcomed.

As with any social media platform, it’s important for Twitter to listen to its users and prioritize the features that they find most useful.

We’re hoping that Twitter indeed lend its ears to the masses and provides features that serve the majority, if not everyone.

Until then, keep tabs as we will keep you posted about the developments as soon as they drop.
