Is Twitch down, not working or throwing error 2000? Please be informed that the service is going through an outage due to scheduled maintenance which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern. Take a look at what some of those affected have to say:

Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, well, as it’s a planned maintenance, Twitch support already informed beforehand about it:
We are now beginning our scheduled maintenance. During this time, you may not be able to view streams or go live. We do not expect this to take longer than one hour.
