Truecaller is growing to be a staple mobile app, particularly among Android users due to its utility.

Its Caller ID function not only displays information about unsaved numbers but also helps shield one against robocallers, fraudsters, telemarketers, and other unwanted calls.

It even got an advanced spam detector as well that detects and automatically blocks spam SMS. This has been made possible by a highly accurate real-time spam list that is updated by millions of people across the world.

The Truecaller Android app is currently marked as having been downloaded over 500 million times on the Google Play Store and holds a respectable rating of 4.5.

However, following a recent update, the app has seen plenty of 1-star reviews from users which may bring down the rating a bit if left unchecked. This has been due to several issues and some of the complaints have been given below.

Since about 3 days ago many issues have appeared with Truecaller. History not updating, contacts asking to save again, caller I’d not updating, contacts not saving etc. I have done absolutely everything that is suggested on the support group. Even went so far as to uninstall and re-install. Nothing works.

I can not send or receive pictures. I can’t use voice clips or anything like that. It isn’t blocking the scam calls or collections call. I contacted support and when they did respond they sent me a link to create an account. What did they not get about refund and issues with app.

As clear from the reports, the Truecaller Android app has gotten riddled with several issues including call log not updating, missed calls not showing, Caller ID not displaying, and new contacts not saving.

Bugs aren’t the only problems plaguing the call filtering service though as it has also been affected by performance woes including lags. Some users have even reported that the app gets unresponsive at times and hangs.

Both regular and Premium users seem to be affected equally by the new bugs. But several Premium users have dropped reviews on Play Store saying that they might cancel their subscriptions if the problems aren’t resolved soon.

Thankfully, Truecaller has now acknowledged the various issues on the Android app saying that their team is working on them.
