Another day and another service closure has now come to sight.

As the company officially puts it, Hipmunk is the “fastest, easiest way to plan travel.” But going by their latest post, Concur (a SAP company that took over Hipmunk back in 2016) has now declared termination of operations in the coming week i.e. after January 23, 2020.

Hipmunk took to Twitter to break the sad news to their userbase, saying the website and the app will be ceased after January 23.

We’re saying goodbye. On Jan. 23, 2020, the Hipmunk product will be retired; the app and website will no longer be available at that time. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey.

For those of you who’ve been using the service, once the service shuts down, the user accounts, of course, will not be entertained anymore. As for the reservations which have already been made, well, worry not, the company says, they won’t be impacted by the service termination.

What about my reservations? Will my travel plans be canceled?

Please note that as a travel metasearch, all bookings are held with the provider directly. Any reservations already made will not be impacted by this change.

If you have any other questions during this transition, please visit our help page.

P.S. In case you have any queries, you can hit the service’s help page for clarity while it’s still up.
