Original story (published on May 05, 2022) follows:
In the last few years, TikTok has been the most popular video-focused social networking platform in the world. Developed by ByteDance, it was launched on Android and iOS in 2017.
Available in more than 141 countries, it has more than 1 billion monthly active users and has been downloaded more than 3 billion times.
Having said that, users recently complained about issues such as getting more likes than views and ‘Following page’ not showing up or disappearing.
And now, TikTok users are complaining that they are getting zero views on their videos. Many are wondering if this is a glitch or if the algorithm is broken.
People said they tried clearing the app cache and reinstalling TikTok but nothing seems to help with the issue. Here are some reports from TikTok users who are getting zero views on their videos.
Is anyone else’s TikTok views glitching? Because some of my videos went from hundreds to 0 yet people liked them?? I am so confused

Is TikTok being weird with views for anyone else? One of my videos says 0 but has 8 likes so I know people have seen it

While the company is yet to officially comment on the matter, here are some potential reasons why your TikTok videos might be stuck at zero views.
One reason why you might not be getting any views on your videos is poor quality. TikTok has an AI that analyzes the overall lighting, visuals, and audio of the content to see if it fits the standard. If it finds your video unsuitable, the algorithm won’t actively push it.
Another reason why the video might not be getting any views is duplicate content or using a device that has been banned by the company. While chances of this happening are next to zero, TikTok did ban some devices that violated community guidelines despite multiple warnings.
TikTok also discourages users from sharing copyrighted content, so make sure the videos you upload are either original or copyright free. They also restrict certain hashtags or objects like guns.
Also, most TikTok videos stuck at zero views are often subjected to the platform’s review system. The analytics are often updated 12 to 24 hours after the video is uploaded, so it might take a while before you see the view count on your recently uploaded video.
It might also have been amplified after users discovered video analytics such as views and interactions were not updating a few days ago.
We hope the aforementioned points helped you understand why some TikTok videos are getting zero views. Also, if we missed out on something, do let us know by sharing your thoughts in the comments section below.
Update 1 (October 19, 2022)
