The Simpsons is easily one of the most popular animated sitcoms to have ever made it to televisions screens in the U.S.

It’s the longest-running American animated series, longest-running American sitcom, and longest-running American scripted primetime television series, both in terms of seasons and number of episodes.

Fans can even create and maintain their own version of Springfield using familiar characters and buildings in its official game.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a city-building game developed by Electronic Arts that’s available on both Android and iOS for free.

EA regularly updates the game adding new events and content to the game to keep things fresh. Matter of fact, last year the game even got a Casino update which brought gambling to the town.

That said, it seems that a recent update to The Simpsons: Tapped Out has resulted in some users running into a login loop wherein the game keeps asking them to enter the verification code.

Reports of the problem have been doing rounds on Twitter over the past few days and some players have even left negative reviews on the Google Play Store listing for the game.

Although, the bug isn’t only affecting players on Android. Fortunately, EA has responded to a few complaints from players by acknowledging the problem. Here’s what the support team has to say:

According to EA support, the team is aware of the login loop issue with The Simpsons: Tapped Out and is currently working on a fix.

However, they’ve also shared a workaround that apparently fixes the problem for some players.

In the meantime, you can only restart the device, launch the app and request a new code as it seems to be helping other players. (Source)

As usual, we’ll keep track of the situation and will update this story when there are any further developments.
