Streamelements Chatbot down or not working? Here's what the developers say

Streamelements is a relatively new platform that helps one in managing and optimizing their streams with specially designed tools and services. These tools cater to the needs of gamers and content creators all around the world.

The company also provides chatbots as one of its services. The bot moderates and replies to the audience in one’s stream’s chat, helping everyone get a good chat experience.

However, the bot has been extremely unstable for some Twitch streamers.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users are experiencing difficulties using the bot. It is alleged that the bot does not respond to chats or join new channels.

The issue has been persistent for the past few days. For some, the bot keeps going down and coming back up intermittently, while for others it’s completely non-functional.

A user on Twitter complains that the chatbot keeps disconnecting itself from their channel, time and again. They have to manually put it back in, which is quite annoying and inconvenient.

Another user alleges that they are unable to make the bot join their channel. Every time they attempt to do so, they get a ‘Failed to join bot’ error message.

Does anyone know if Streamelements bot is down? For some reason, mine wont appear in my channel anymore.

Some also say that now the bot gives delayed responses to chats. The affected ones have tried resetting tokens and changing account passwords but to no avail.

Fortunately, the Streamelements support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged the issue. They say that the problem is on Twitch’s end, and Twitch is working on fixing the bug.

Although, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.

Even though it was suggested that the affected users should remove and rejoin the bout, a user alleges that this only leads to the bot spamming their chats.

Having said that, we’ll keep tabs on the issue where the Streamelements Chatbot is down or not working for some users and update this article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
