Game-streaming service Google Stadia arrived a month ago but there have always been some concerns surrounding its potential to succeed.

The good thing about Stadia is that gamers don’t need to invest in the costly affair of acquiring powerful PCs or even a gaming console in order to enjoy some of the best titles in the gaming world.

Technically, it is Google’s hardware that does the dirty work when streaming Stadia games, with players only required to have a device that can access Google Chrome, among them Android phones, a PC, or a TV via Google Chromecast.

One of the perks Google threw in for those who pre-ordered the Stadia Founder’s Edition was a Buddy Pass. With the Buddy Pass, Founders were able to invite their buddies to come and experience what Stadia Pro has to offer for three free months.

Of course, those invited to try Stadia via the Buddy Pass don’t need to buy any of the Stadia controllers in order to play Stadia games. One can turn to a keyboard and mouse on a PC or even use any other Bluetooth controller for that matter.

Now, in a bid to increase its footprint during this holiday season, Google is giving Stadia Founders a second Buddy Pass that can be used in the same way as the first one – to gift a friend who wants to try Stadia for three months before deciding on whether to buy into the idea or not.

In the spirit of the holidays, we have an early surprise gift for Stadia Founders: an extra Buddy Pass! Give it to a friend, a family member… anybody you know who loves games. For more information on how to redeem your Buddy Pass, take a look at the infographic below:

For those who had not used the first Buddy Pass, worry not. Google says you can still use it and thereafter you will receive the second Buddy Pass that you can also share with a friend or family member and team up to play Stadia games.

Notifications about the second Stadia Buddy Pass should start popping up today, so remember to check out the top-left corner of the Stadia app on your device for an envelope icon.

A techy. Besides phones, I also enjoy the farm, music, football, and, of course, food.
