The merger of two of the big 4 smartphone carriers of the US, Sprint and T-Mobile, has been all over the Internet. After the alliance – which recently got approved by the US Justice Department – things are set to change for Sprint customers with T-Mobile absorbing the former.
The deal is almost through, with only some formalities left.
We are not sure how Sprint subscribers will be impacted by this merger, but for now, some of them who have a Hulu account are troubled. With reports like ‘Sprint Hulu not working,’ and ‘Hulu down’, Sprint users chime their Hulu account has all of a sudden gone on hold. Meaning, no stream.
Here are some user shared images of the email (image on left) captioned ‘Your Sprint-Billed Hulu Account Is Currently on hold,’ which the affected users received from Hulu, and the billing/charging notification (right image) that shows up otherwise.
Does this problem have something to do with T-Mobile-Sprint merger? Well, we can’t comment on that, but many Sprint customers are frustrated for hours now as the popular TV/movie streaming service Hulu is inaccessible to them. It’s confusing, as users with no due payments are also affected.
Take a look at what some complainants have to say:
Amid the proliferating complaints, what’s good is the glitch has been officially acknowledged by both Sprint Care and Hulu Support on Twitter. With no precise reason specified, Sprint has confirmed team Hulu is working on resolving the issue. And the same has been confirmed by Hulu support as well.
Team Hulu aims to resolve the matter in about 24 hours (out of which some have already passed). Here are both Sprint Care and Hulu support‘s responses.
Here’s hoping the concerned team fixes things up at the soonest, so that Sprint customers can continue to use the service without any hassles. Rest assured, we are keeping a close watch on all related developments and will update you as and when something new comes to our sight.
