After the merger of Sprint corporation and T-Mobile USA in 2020, Sprint subscribers have been enjoying certain benefits in services.
This includes Call Screener & Visual Voicemail features that were made available accessible for free last year.
Even after the merger, these two features stayed there without being touched by the company and Sprint users continue to have it even today.
Call Screener feature comes in handy in screening out redundancies and fraud calls. But it’s about time to say goodbye to these features.
Sprint users are receiving emails from the company that Call Screener & Visual Voicemail may soon be deactivated.
But this doesn’t mean users won’t be able to use these features anymore. It is only that the services offered by Sprint will be scrapped, subscribers will now have services from T-Mobile running on their devices.
T-Mobile offers similar features by the names – Scam Shield & Visual Voicemail – which does the exact same thing but with, of course, some minor changes here and there.
The earlier apps from Sprint will automatically get deactivated from the device. However, there’s no change in the My Sprint app and it will continue to work the same.
T-Mobile is expanding at a fast rate and it’d be best for the company to utilize its resources in better ways than having parallel services operating.
This, however, goes contrary to the pre-merger claims of providing more job opportunities as steps like these will only reduce jobs at the backend.
But anyway, we will leave that to the company to handle. In the meantime, stay tuned to PiunikaWeb to read more such exciting news related to this domain.
