We are seeing a large number of reports from SouthWest Airlines customers who say the entire computer system of the airlines is currently down and not working. Of course, this is a very big issue and people are taking to social media to complain.
Here are some reports:

Of course, not everyone is annoyed with this outage.

Fun aside, the airlines’ Twitter handle is telling complainants that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it:
We are monitoring the situation, and will be updating the story in real time with useful details. So keep checking back.
Update 1
Fresh reports suggest this could be a nationwide outage.
Heading to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) where all Southwest Airlines flights are grounded nationwide right now for a computer outage. Call ahead.. WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore

Update 2
Flight boarding has begun, the airline confirms. So shouldn’t be much of a wait now.
We're looking to have you on your way shortly, and have begun boarding flights across the nation. It shouldn't be much longer now, but I would check with your Gate Agents for more information. -Rocky

But, on the other hand, user reports seem to suggest otherwise.

Update 3
Those who are stranded at airports and need assistance can contact the Gate Agent, SouthWest Airlines is suggesting.
Hi there, Hannah. We're truly sorry for the frustrations while we work through this. While we don't expect flights to be delayed significantly, please speak with a Gate Agent at the airport if you need a reaccommodation flight. -Rocky
