Video games have gone a long way since Spacewar! (the first known video game to be played at multiple computer installations)! The evolution of graphic processing units on computers did facilitate the growth to a great extent.
Fast forward to today, we now have tens of thousands of mobile games with impressive graphics, thanks to the powerful SoCs. Of them, many weighs GBs in size mostly because the close-to-life character detailing.
When it comes to avid gamers, they still don’t consider mobile games to be perfect. Even a pair of inexperienced eyes can sometimes find the glitches they carry. So, most of them prefer dedicated devices like gaming consoles.
Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation! Those two come on top if you go on a quest to find the best gaming console. But, both have their own merits and demerits. Moreover, they come in different variants (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4).
Just like smartphones, consoles also have firmwares. And, the companies do rollout OTA updates to them. In case you happen to be a PS4 user, you might have already heard of the upcoming 7.00 update. Sony confirmed it’s going to hit PlayStations this week.
By the time the OTA hits PS4, you may not get Facebook support. Based on a Reddit post, the company is going to remove the feature on 7 October 2019. Though they didn’t officially announce the news, a PlayStation Asia customer care executive revealed the information in a message to a user.
Lately, PS4 users have been experiencing problems with the Facebook share option. So, we think the tip is authentic as it indicates something is changing. However, for the official confirmation, we will have to wait for a few more days.
Let us bring your attention to the official blog post about the new update. They confirmed it will refine the party feature. Right now, the maximum number of party users for a session is 8. When the firmware overhaul goes live, it will be bumped to 16.
We spotted another Reddit post that talks about a new feature on 7.00 update- HDR adjust. A few users got to experience it in beta. If you think the visuals are too dark or bright, this will surely be a game changer (literally!).
